AMCAS activities section - include internship?

Hello!
I'm starting to work on writing all of my activities down and was wondering if I can include an internship if it was for course credit. I basically did a semester long practicum for my health disparities minor, where I was placed at a diabetes clinic. I mostly shadowed the social worker (who was my preceptor) and the physicians at the clinic. I also sat in on weekly meetings with an interdisciplinary team about patients, went through a semester long training on cultural competency, and did minor projects like make brochures about various resources for the patients. What could I put this under, and should I split up my hours between visiting patients, shadowing, and the projects? I had 120 hours total for the entire semester iirc.

I do research at my school for credit, but I still plan to include it as a research experience. If it's a significant investment that taught you skills, lead to connections, and impacted you as a person, I'd say it counts. Just be able to articulate the experience well. I'd join them all together as one 120 hour internship experience personally.

I did a very similar internship for class credit and I put in in my activities section. I also wrote a one liner in the section saying that is was for class credit so there would be no confusion, but the experience gained was worth expanding on.

Since this is a multifactorial experience, you might consider using the "Other" designation and use the word 'Internship' in the name you give the activity. If you wish, for any subcomponent that is strong enough to stand on its own, you can split those hours out (taking care not to count them twice) and list them under another tag, like "Shadowing."

I put my public health internship down on AMCAS and I did it for credit!

I think you should most certainly put it unless you have 15 better things to put down. Don't forget, its best to talk about personal growth from the experience instead of just listing everything you did physically.
