AMCAS and AACOMAS communication

Does AMCAS and AACOMAS communicate with each other? More specifically, will AMCAS know/see my AACOMAS application and vice versa? Or are these two completely independent organizations?

I am curious since both are located in DC, extremely close to each other.

Why would it matter? People apply both DO and MD all of the time. Are you afraid that a school is going to figure out you applied to both? I really doubt they send applicant information to each other since that is your personal information.

Nope they don't, ain't nobody got time for that. They have a massive stack of applications to get through and checks to cash.

AACOMAS only communicates with AMCAS if they find out you lied about something on your application. It's a bullet point under "Term and Conditions" or whatever it's called when you submit your AACOMAS.
