Once your AMCAS is verfied, next to the grades it has a place for "Amcas only". Then it has one slash for "any course verified without correction" and two slashes that make an X if you had "any course verified with correction".

What does the two slash, or X mark mean? I seem to have a lot of these on my application, but I am not seeing where they corrected anything? I didn't list anything wrong, in fact, I went straight from my offcial transcript when listing grades, hours, etc. so I am not sure what they would have corrected?

Does anyone know what this means? Is it bad?

The x's are not necessarily bad. Sometimes they just change formatting such as changing "Reading & Literature" to "Reading and Literature." If you know you didn't make any big errors and you didn't blatantly omit or misrepresent anything, you shouldn't be worried.

Sometimes the changes are in your favor too. They changed three of my A-'s to A's. I called them and they said it wasn't a mistake.

Thanks,

I didn't misrepresent anything, but a lot of mine are like this. But, I guess I won't worry 🙂

They might have changed your status (from Freshman to Sophomore or visa versa) for some of them. They did that with me. And I put in like... No grade on a few of them, and they took those away...

It's not bad, as long as it's all correct after they correct it.

Only bad if you left out those three F's from pledge period second semester freshman year.
