Hey guys,

I had some questions about classifying my courses on the app. I had 2 Women's Studies classes, an Intro class, and one called "Gender in Society" is it appropriate to mark these as Behavioral/Social Sciences? Also, I have two classes from the Biology department with BIO course numberings, but I think that Animal Physiology and Ecology might fit better into the Natural/Physical Sciences catergory, but I'm afraid they won't look as "scientific" if they're not under the Biology heading. Any ideas? Thank you!

Yes, Women's Studies should be put under Behavioral/Social Sciences.

As for the Animal Physiology courses, what about that do you think is Natural/Physical Sciences (which usually includes things like Environmental Science and Geology)? Sure sounds like Biology to me. Would you put Human Physiology courses as Natural/Physical Sciences? Of course not. The course was taught in the Biology department, so they're Biology on AMCAS. (Besides, you say you're worried about them not looking 'scientific'. If you put them in Natural/Physical Sciences, they won't be calculated in your BCPM GPA.)

Sorry to say that you're incorrect on a few things.

Pages 44-48 show that the Women's studies is Special Studies, and the ecology is for sure in Biology.

The animal physiology could be iffy since animal and avian sciences is under NPSC but it was taught under the Biology department and physiology classes are under Biology.
