Apparently the amcas will average the grades of any class you have taken more than once. is this true? regardless of how your college will REPLACE the lower grade with the higher grade you got the second or third time around.

=(

Yeah it's to prevent people like you from thinking an F is ok the first time around and having it replaced with an A.

Too bad sucka

wow...I'm a troll, a dickhead, and a punk.

I got the trifecta going.

I was told I need to be more blunt. Get over yourself.

Poor character...hmmm should I get redrawn by the Disney people so they can make me into a better character. What would you like me to be; Simba? Mufasa? The Little Mermaid?

sigh...... will anyone please offer some viewpoints =)

something other than this "troll" has to offer.

it is true, both grades get reported and both are calculated into your amcas gpa.
although i wouln't have put it as bluntly as xcanadianragwee, i tend to agree with him. it's only fair that all grades are reported, particularly since many schools do not have the option of erasing a grade from a class you retook.
if there is a good reason for your poor performance in a class, perhaps you can explain it somewhere like in one of your secondaries?

Try and get a retroactive withdrawl..I did it....though i had good reasons...but you can think something up depending how my your willing to bend your morals. Say....mom had an abortion and I was tramatized.....if she lies with you and backs it up..youd be fine.....

It's nearly impossible to get a retro withdrawal especially if it has been more than a semester since the class ended. and it's not the end of the world if you took a class twice...

well lets just say i dropped it more than once.

failed few classes here and there....

sigh..

well im applying for academic renewal, and im taking those classes AGAIN .....

sigh.

Nearly impossible?

I did it TWO YEARS after the fact......though again....i had good reason for having need to withdraw in the first place...i just never did...once they indeppenantly confirmed my story...they took off the F.

But in kmnifes situation i dont think this would work....i had a good academic record and they knew i wasnt just trying to pimp them...if you have failed multiple classes over a period of a few semesters i doubt they would show you any conpassion.
