AMCAS Pending Transcripts

So my stupid *ss didn't see that transcripts for future courses are exempt on the applicant handbook and I put that it was required for a school that I won't be attending until next month and now my transcript is on hold... I'm going to try calling AMCAS tomorrow, but otherwise how ****ed am I?

You're definitely not "****ed"! I don't even think you need to call them.

Just submit an Academic Change Request explaining that your stupid *ss listed a school you have not yet attended (did you list them as future courses when completing your Academic Record?) and ask them to delete it, since you did not list any class with a grade at that school that needs to be verified.

If they refuse, I assume you are enrolled in the new school for next month, so you should be able to order a transcript from them to send to AMCAS showing you have no completed classes. Either way, it will certainly get straightened out, and no, this will not blow your cycle.

If they won't take an Academic Change Request because you are not yet verified, then yes, you will have to call them to ask if they will take the request over the phone. Sending them the transcript was my other suggestion, but it will be a waste if they don't require it, since it literally will show nothing. Your future courses won't appear on it until after you earn the credits. (At least that's the way it works at most schools.)

Again, try to explain to them that you made a mistake by listing the school, because you don't have any past coursework to verify. If they look, the will see that all of your coursework at that school is listed as future, and they should then delete the school from your pending transcript list, and take your application off of hold. Otherwise, you'll need to send them a blank transcript in order to enter the queue, just so they can verify nothing.
