So, I just finished my draft personal statement. I went to put it on TMDSAS and it was too large by about fifteen lines. It fits into the AMCAS box, (around 5295 characters) but it is over the TMDSAS limit.

Did anyone else encounter this problem?
If so, did you write two differnt personal statments, because there are specific objectives that TMDSAS asks for as well (I just read these over for the first time)

Any comments or help?

Hey I think I already replied to this in the other thread, but I used the same essay for both. I think I was over by like 5 lines and I was forced to do some editing to make it barely fit.

AMCAS gives more room. I wrote one personal statement that was well withing both limits. If you are too long... make it shorter. It will be easier to read and having something that conveys how you feel and your experiences concisely tells med school app committees that you are an effective communicator. This can only help you.

Hope this helps.

I wrote my TMDSAS essay first, so it also fit in the AMCAS one.

I know this doesn't help you but maybe it will help others! 😀 😀
