I only have ~8 post-secondary experiences to list, which seems kind of insufficient. I never joined any pre-med clubs or honor societies or published anything; I think I have some decent EC's, but I don't have a ton of them. This number is based on lumping together all my academic awards/honors in one entry and scholarships in another--if I list them out individually, I'll have ~11 experiences. However, I've heard it's better to group those things together then give each an individual entry just for the sake of "padding" your EC's. Opinions? I'm thinking about giving the scholarships individual entries, then lumping my academic honors/awards together; I think the total will be ~9 that way. Is that too few? Also, should I list hobbies, like being a member of a book club? AMCAS has categories for hobbies and artistic endeavors, but I'm not sure if adcoms care about those things or if they really do demonstrate your well-roundedness (if that's even a word). What do you think?

I put a hobby on mine (music related). I wouldn't list scholarships seperately, that is kinda lame. 👎 I would add stuff like intramural sports or a hobby if you have a good one...

Thanks for the input, adamj61. Anyone else? Also, when listing scholarships or other awards, do you put the amount or just the criteria? Who do you list as a contact if it was an institutional award?

I listed the financial aid officer for institutional awards. Also, for major scholarships, I listed the value/duration and what it was awarded for.

Do you have any jobs or volunteering (even if they were not all that regular) that you could add? I think it is good to have at least 12 listed, unless the ones you have are particularly involved (i.e. major time commitments).

Good luck :luck:
