Hey, this is probably an overly neurotic post but I was just wondering what y'all thought of this situation. So I currently volunteer in a clinical setting that requires 4 hours of volunteering a week. I've been doing this since last year and I have accumulated about 120 hours at this location. I'd love to continue volunteering there through next semester (and I originally thought that I was going to) however with my courseload, research, TAing, and other commitments, I don't think I'll have a 4 hour chunk in my week to consistently volunteer. My concern is that, with the intention to continue to volunteer there, I projected 160 hours on my AMCAS (applying this cycle) but I will only have 120 there if I cannot end up fitting this in. Do you think I should try to reshape the rest of my schedule around this and I should continue to volunteer and get those projected hours, or do you think it's understandable if I don't? This may be overly neurotic but I'm kinda concerned. Thanks!

Same issue, I had some unforeseen conflicts and interviews so I might be ~20-30 hours under. I doubt anyone will care to check (it's not like you put 999 hours and the activity was something really amazing) and in the odd instance they do, no one will care if you are off by 40 odd hours.

Yeah I was assuming the same thing and I'm sure if adcoms did for some reason check, they'd understand the discrepancy. And it's definitely nothing mindblowingly amazing haha just some standard hospital volunteering.
