AMCAS verification process

Hi

I have submitted my AMCAS 07/01 and it is still active. But I finished my secondaries and the MSTP supplement. Now the only thing the schools need is the AMCAS.

I called AMCAS and they said the classical response, it takes 4 to 6 weeks to verify the application (and during the times when they have even larger numbers of applications even longer than 6 weeks).

Should I contact the schools directly about this, since AMCAS seems to take really long to verify my application.

Were you able to submit supps. and LOR's w/o the AMCAS? I am hesitant to do that till the AMCAS is verified, lest there are problems... did send LOR's though...

I talked to them today, and they said they are 'getting through it' - its been 3 weeks since they have recieved my transcripts...

I would call and see if there are holdups - although I'm sure the ladies who answer the phone can't do anything about getting it going faster...
