AMCAS Work/Activities - Publications

I see that there is a section for Publications on the AMCAS Work/Activities section. I have publications, but I don't understand this. For instance, I published work from Lab Experience X, and I have a work/activity entry for Lab Experience X. So if I want a separate work/activity for my publication, what would I do for number of hours, dates, etc.? Is that really what this is? Just a spot to put publications?

Most people seem to put 0 hours so as not to "double dip" on hours already listed for the actual research. And yes, it's a spot just for your publication because publications are 1. uncommon and 2. in fact significant enough in this process to warrant its own slot.

Can I clump multiple publications together? Can I include conferences and posters and journal papers all under the same "publications" entry?
