I'm kind of confused on the Activities section of the application (I finally took a look at what this section involves by reading the AMCAs instruction/guide)..
1) Do I include my high school "gap year" activities? I graduated highschool in 3 years (in 2004), took basically a gap year and volunteered in a hospital and worked a restaurant job. Do I include this job and my hospital experience, even though they were before college?
2) What do you do about awards? Like, there are descriptions that are "hours/week" for how long the activity is. This is the section where you include Dean's List, etc etc, you just wouldnt answer "hours/week"?
3) I earned a distinguishing award at my internship. Should I include this separately or in the description of the internship? (same goes with a publication, do I include the publication and the research job separately?)
I know its kind of early for all of this since we can't start filling it out until May, but I'm just wondering how its all going to work out.
Thanks
