I was just asked by a fellowship I applied to for an Official diploma translation from my medical school. My diploma is in Latin. Has anyone gotten this request before or managed to get it done? My med school seemed confused on the phone and told me to email them. I haven't heard back....

Um I would say that they usually want that from IMG's. But I think if you clarify that you're from am American medical school and that Latin is a traditional/old language that can be on diplomas to the secretary I think they might talk to the program director and dismiss that request. I think the secretary might have been confused?

Latin diplomas don't need a translation as far as I know. Most likely the person doesn't realize it is in Latin.
