hey guys am a foreign medical student i have a question when you (amg) apply step1 after 2nd year do you have any clinical exposure?what do you feel during the exam it needs any clinical experience?

Without a doubt, undeniably and truthfully, doing any clinical rotation will not only not help, it will actually HURT you in studying for Step 1. Step 1 is about basic science. Why things happen. Pathways and molecules, genetics and mechanisms.

Clerkships are about diagnosis, about choosing the next test, about choosing a treatment, often empirically. Thats it.

Take Step1 before clerkships.

I disagree, but this is a debate that will not be resolved any time soon.
 
guy in your curriculum the materials are clinically oriented ?and in your basic science years do you take some clinical?
during class do you cover all materials in usmle? the fact that you take 8 weeks to finish step1 surprising me bcz all img take from 6 to 9 month because we have many materials we didnt taked in our classes like behavioral science genetics medical ethics ...
