Amitosis does not require meiosis OR mitosis?

Amitosis, from what I've researched, is the exactly the same as mitosis, just without the DNA condensing into chromatins.

Wouldn't you still need the genes for mitosis?

I never heard of amitosis. I dont think you need to know it for the mcat. And if you do then there will most likely be a passage on it.

lol yeah that passage was hard. Probably one of the hardest passages I seen so from from the AAMC biology sections.
