LLU favors SDAs. You can still get in without having an SDA background, but it would definitely be tougher.

thanks for the info, from what I've gathered LLU is an amazing school

I Included Tufts, Temple and Columbia because they all accept the Canadian DAT, so if they accept the Canadian DAT wouldn't they accept Canadians?

every school would gladly accept your applications fee, does that mean they would accept you?

Steve makes an interesting point. Similarly to how some schools favor in-state residents.

Tufts, columbia and temple doesn't take canadians? Where did you base this out of? The 2012 adea book?

thanks for the info, from what I've gathered LLU is an amazing school for all kinds of medicine especially in a clinical sense. It's my top choice!

Also, are there any schools that you think I should add to my list?

my list previously included:
- NYU
- UoP
- penn
- USC
- indiana
- michigan
- case western
- minnesota

but I figured that these were too expensive, and I personally would want to avoid living in minnesota/ohio/michigan - do you think my stats are good enough to take the risk in not applying to these 8 schools?

I don't think your stats are good enough to apply to only the 10 schools you listed. That is not to say your stats aren't good, but they are not stellar. I would play it a little safer if I were you. I don't know anything about how many canadians these schools accept, but I would apply at least to Minnesota, Case Western, and NYU.

Thanks for the input! Where do you think my stats need improvement?🙂

I don't think they need improvement, I think you just need to apply to enough schools! That said, I am only familiar with this from an American standpoint.

From the Canadians last year who donated money to Tufts, Columbia and temple.

Columbia will only interview international students if they did their undergrad in the States.

dam I really wanted to get into Tuft...that was my number one choice..sigh

But then again, the Canadians on here are only a little bit of the applicant pool, that should not be a representation of everyone.

A bunch of us were 22AA+, 3.80+ GPAs. If you wanna donate money to Columbia, then go ahead. Don't say I didn't warn you.

mmm that sucks, but those scores are way too high for Tufts, I heard about something if your scores are too high, schools with lower scores needed wouldn't take you because they think you will get accepted else. Although those scores should have gotten you into columbia, unless one applied super late or the interview just went horribly wrong

But then again, thanks for the heads up, definitely will be more careful on where to apply now.
