A BIG thank you to Dr. Romano and Nancy Steen, perhaps two of the nicest, most chill people i know. GET THE DESTOYER, its probably more helpful than any other test prep material out there.
I used Kaplan bb, Organic Edge, topscore, achiever, a bit of schaums, and DESTOYER.
Also, if you want to not have to worry about not being able to sleep the night before (if that makes sense), go swimming, that will knock you out. And if you want to stay calm during the test, make sure you watch Walker Texas Ranger before going to the testing center (Chuck Norris cried! 😱 )
If you have any questions, let me know.
EDIT:
For those taking the test soon, here's what to look forward to:
BIO: Very straight forward, no real suprises here, especially if you've gone through the destroyer. Finished this section in like 10 minutes and felt really good about it.
GC: This section was kind of weird in the sense that all the calculations had you set up the calculation instead of actually...calculating. I was more of a calculating the answer sort of guy so this kinda caught me off guard, and this section took a bit longer than expected, but other than that no suprises here. Again, Destroyer should have you covered, as should kaplan.
OC: Pretty straight forward, but after GC you may be a bit flustered (just focus!). This section is not bad at all, just a couple of questions might make you double take and be like wha? until you read them again.
RC: I've always like reading comp bc i'm not the sort of person to hunt for answers (which is mad stressful). I just read the question and then read the passage until i find the answer to the question and then move on to the next question...half way through the questions you've got the whole passage read and a good idea of whats going on.
QR: Standard deviation = lame. This section wasn't bad, I kinda expected higher but oh well. A LOT of the types of problems on the exam were almost identical concepts to questions found in the destroyer, so if you know how to do those, you should be solid on the QR.
PAT: Ok whoever hyped up the difficulty of this section is crazy, because honestly, its NOT THAT HARD. In fact its very similar to the ADA sample test online, with the TFE and the angles being a teeny bit harder (the angles on the ADA sample test are freakin' crazy). If you can do that you should be solid. Angles were ridiculous, they all looked the same, but some where actually managable. Achiever is overkill, but its angles are pretty good (angles on the real deal are even harder than achiever like everyone says), whereas the rest of the PAT is like topscore.
Overall, not a bad test. Stay calm, stay focused, eat a big meal the night before and go for a swim, watch a funny movie or show before the test, go to the center an hour early and just sit there, wear WARM clothes and get ready to rumble. If you're calm, this exam will fly by and you'll most likely be happy with the results.
Best of luck to those still taking the exam!
