Hi, Im a 1st year med student incredibly interested in anesthesiology. My school really doesnt have a anesthesiology club or advicsor, and I was wondering if there are any Professional organizations that students can join to get more information about the field, or conferences that would be student appropriate.

You have to get your department chair's signature, but it is 10 bucks a year for a student to join the ASA. You get free admission to the national conference and "anesthesiology" every month. Pretty good deal.
