I am pretty much totally ignorant of the world of gas, but I find myself more interested in it every time I read about it. I have some (perhaps silly) questions.
I know that in the hospital setting there are anesth docs doing things like epidurals, pain management, OR, ect. Mow, are these docs usually part of a group much like the pathologists would be i.e. having rotations in OR and in pt weekly or so?
If one goes on and does a pain fellowship, does he/she usually just practice pain management or would he/she do that in addition to the other duties?
This kinda goes with the first question. Are anesthesiologists mostly in anesth groups or do they join up with surgical groups?
Thanks!
