Anyone interested in pooling our collective wisdom on this issue?

Epocrates is available for the iphone. Any other apps that people have found useful?

There was a recent topic regarding what you're asking. Go thru old threads, you'll find it🙂

The landscape has changed a bit since 2008. Is there anything still lacking about the current offerings?

There is a double lumen tube simulator (Double Lumen) for the iPhone out there. That one is a keeper.

I also like Anesthesia Drugs Fast. Just dial in the weight and you get the dosages for most drugs. This is great for peds.

Gas guide is a solid one as well.

I think there will be some presented at the PGA

I started a compilation/review here. So far just have one up but plan to either review or list them all at some point down the road. I'll be checking this post for anything I missed.

If anyone wants to submit a review on the site please do.

Angry Birds. For those long, boring cases.

I just started the next level with the "expanding" bird.

I got an email from my program's email list that there is an app being given away for free Jan 1, 2012 for one day: Anesthesia Drugs Fast

I like "anesthesia calculator".

Too bad I didn't see this yesterday.
Oh, I guess it's only $1.99 to buy anyway...

i've been looking at this app too. has anyone used garage band? likes/dislikes/preferences?

I use Pedi Safe regularly and Epocrates occasionally. I'm a peds anesthesiologist and I still use it as an estimate for airway, blades, and for quick drug dose estimates for newborns/infants/toddlers.

micromedex is xtremely useful ,Also use ClinicCalc & Skyscape Archimedes .Fun apps. for b/w or long hour cases 👍 AMAZING BREAKERS/angry birds/Fruit Ninja.etc.

A friend from my program emailed me that the same company is offering another app for free February 1 for one day. It is a pediatric app called Pediatric Gas.

For those that have an iPhone/iPad, Wikipanion just added OpenAnesthesia.org as a searchable Wiki.

When you're in the Wikipanion app, click on the W icon in the left of the search box, select Manage Wikis > Search > Search for OpenAnesthesia

Once you click add, just click on the W icon in the search bar again and select OpenAnesthesia as your wiki to use it.

I use Evernote, but I'm just logging TEE, not the full ACGME anesthesia resident log. I don't think it would be good for that many data points, but it works quite well for me.
