For those of us exploring different specialties, where would the current resident/anesthesiologist/PD rank research experience as a criteria for resident selection? When taken with board scored, grades, clinical eval, interview, extracurriculars...where does research fit in? Thanks.

That varies widely by program. I would say that the majority would not rank research above board scores, grades, and clinical evaluations.
