Angle ranking

I am having issues with the angle ranking, specifically with the large angles. I have little problem with the smaller angles or angles near 90 degrees, but the large angles are constantly killing me. Any advice on ranking the larger angles or just general strategies that you use in the section?

same, the near 90 degrees kill meeeee.
what I do is look for the biggest and smallest when they all look similar, and then look at the answers. usually there is only 1 with the one I decided was smallest listed first and biggest listed last.

but I dont think this method is reliable to be used all the time, only when angles are too close to tell. maybe someone else can shed some light on this problem

Large angels are tricky!

Expose yourself to as many practice problems as possible. After time, your brain will catch up to your eyes and eventually this will become second nature.

I always try to locate the largest one first (for large angels only); for the really big angels try to find the one that is closest to a line or has the smallest bend - knock this one out first. (not sure if this is recommended by others, but look at the answers and eliminate anything that you can based on your findings)

Next, try to figure out which is the smallest... the rest is up to you, and is standard protocol.

This was the only section for me that caused any trouble and not to scare you but the actual DAT is pretty hard in this section.

The only technique I really heard of for the obtuse angles is the laptop technique--this sounds stupid but it really helped me.

Imagine the angles as looking the side of a laptop, and think about which angle would represent the most open/closed laptop. For some reason this really helped me with the obtuse angles.
