For those of you doing FA flash cards, What's you're take on the best flash cards to use? I've heard of Anki and now there's another called Enki. I still have 4 months till i tackle the beast. I've done my first pass through FA/uworld/pathoma, but i've noticed I keep forgetting some of the random details in FA, which gets frustrating at times. has anyone had any experience (good/bad) with these decks? much appreciated!

Hi easy, I had posted http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/step-1-first-aid-flashcards.1061930/#post-15074289 like a month ago and I think people have said a bunch of stuff there.

My take is that enki learning is a much better way to learn since it's more than flashcards and tracks your progress. I tried anki and i have no idea how people use that program. U need a phd or sumthing.

yeah just did some enki cards on cardiac anatomy to see what it was all about. enki seems to be a lil more interactive and appealing to the eye. I guess you can't go wrong with either of them. but looks like i'll be rolling with enki. thanks for the reply. best of luck to you all!

hey sri! which mode do you use on enki. i saw that they have a multiple choice option. its different, but the answer choices seem pretty obvious even if you don't know jack about the subject. regardless you're still learning i guess.

Hey easy,

Lets say I don't know a subject that well. I do this:
1. Multiple choice (easiest mode)
2. Once I get comfortable I switch it up with drag-to-match (untimed)
3. Once my overall score is closer to 80% I transition to flashcards and drag-to-match (timed). Flashcards are always the hardest so i dont do them until i get comfortable

I wrote in the feedback box about the multiple choice, and they said they're working on "higher order" multiple choice and some other things to make it harder....im not sure what that means, but they seem to be working on it...

I think multi choice is easy sometimes but sometimes hard if its diseases or pharm. here is an example i'm studying now: https://www.enkilearning.com/learn/659#learn/multi-choice

Yeah, that seems like a pretty good approach srI. The multiple choice option can use a little touch up. It seems like some cards have more obvious answers than others, but it varies on what subject you are doing. would be great if all of it was a lil more uniform throughout the deck. I also noticed you can't hide a card or throw one away once you have completely mastered it. so it just keeps coming up. thought that was a little annoying and time draining but i guess ill add this to the feedback. Thanks!
