Annotating first aid for step i

I'm obviously gunning a little, but I wanted to know what people are doing/did in the beginning of year 2 to study for step 1. Did people annotate their First Aid this early. How do you annotate, what is most efficient way to annotate? How do you know if certain information is high yield for boards and should be added into the beautiful first aid book?
