The program is Saint Louis University School of Medicine. It was approved last week as a 3 year EM program and will be interviewing this fall for the 2009 match. The program will start July 2009 with 6 residents per year. The program director is Vijay Chauhan, contact information:
[email protected].

There will be more information to follow but as a SLU med school grad I can tell you the pathology is pretty incredible (like 30 GSW patients during this past July) and the attending are great clinical teachers.

Does this mean that they will be able to participate in this year's match or will they be signing/scrambling outside of the match? I am very interested to find out.

The PD told me that we will be able to select them in ERAS starting 10 days from yesterday.

It's a solid med school, would expect to be an OK ER residency.
I used to live in St Louis x 7 years. I think it's a good city, though some folks say it's too small. Some areas = high crime but there are plenty of nice areas as well, and many free things to do around town (i.e. free art museum and free zoo).

I searched for it on ERAS and didn't see it on there yet. Are they going through ERAS or do I have to apply to directly to the program?

Hey guys, I'm a 4th year SLU student and long-time SDN lurker. The PD is actually my advisor. Somehow there was a mix up with ERAS and the program was registered as St. Louis, MI instead of St. Louis, MO. If you want to apply to the program, look under the Michigan programs. Its up there now.

someone in ERAS doesnt know their state abbreviations
