So as this application cycle comes to a close, I'm thinking of possible back up plans for next year before I re-apply.
I don't think I need to improve academically all that much (see my stats). I do have a decent amount of volunteer work, including clinical experiences that I plan on continuing.
I'm not entirely sold on doing an M.Sc or MPH because I haven't really enjoyed my research experience doing my honours thesis this year. But I looked at my transcipt and realized that I only need one full-year of classes with a full-course load to complete a B.Sc Biochemistry (I'm graduating with a B.Sc Neuroscience this May).
Would it be any worth completing another B.Sc next year to make my application more competitive? Again, my BCPM and cGPA are fine as it is (see link below). MCAT-wise, my VR is low but I don't think I'm going to re-write. I'm thinking having another degree by my name might be a good thing? I'm interested in the subject matter too (Biochem), I just don't know if it'd make all that much of a difference to ADCOMs. Of course, there IS the possibility that my current GPA might go down by a bunch of brutal biochem courses...
Whadda' you guys think?
