Yes, you have a chance but its definitely decreased significantly because of the date.

You're in a really tough spot cuz you really want to go to that school with the cutoff. You will definitely get interviews at other schools and probably get accepted to a good number as long as your interviews go well. Overall your stats are really solid but if they have a cutoff of 15 and you really want to go there, you gotta do what you gotta do!

What is it about the QR section that makes everyone get a poor score? Are the problems really difficult, or is it more of a timing issue? When you did TopScore did you also have trouble finishing (if that was the problem)..

About your question though: I'm not sure which school you're interested in, but I talked to the Dean of Admissions at Michigan and she said that they hold interviews from October to February..

Scores on Topscore: 23, 20, 18...It was not that hard. I have no idea what happened. I just simply did not know how to do a few problems and must have did bad on the ones that I thought I knew. It was really shocking to see my score. I was expecting an 18 minimum..

it looks like you did really well on your sciences though! Even with the low QR you still have a great AA. were the sciences similar to Destroyer? I haven't taken topscore yet.. my DAT is in two weeks!!

Besides the GPA we have almost the same DAT score. Ts:20 AA: 20 PAT:19. Unfortunately I have now takent he DAT twice and scored a 14 then a 15. I hate that section so bad!!! As per why it is hard, the TIME and NO CALCULATOR!! This would never happen in real life!! I feel your pain. By the way what school is it your trying to get into?

If I take it in October and I fax them my scores. Will I have a better chance at an interview? When are the majority of interviews?

stop stressing.. ur GPA is GREAT! and everything else is as well..yes ur QR is low, but it will not stop u from interviews. just make sure ur aadsas is in already..and u work on ur secondaries asap. if u follow my advice, i guarantee u will get many pre dec interviews..

when it comes down to choosing between 2 candidates, it always comes down to numbers, and many schools (during my interview) didn't ask me about my QR or dare care (i too got a 14 in QR, my score was 22/20/20)

**as for ur cutoff school, call them up and see what u should do.. sometimes some schools stress a cutoff point, but don't really enforce it if it's QR..


also, if u do retake the DAT, u risk your score dropping a few points here and there..why take that chance for one lousy subject? plus u can't fax ur scores.. schools want ur official scores, which ADEA has to send to them..which is another 6-8 weeks after u take ur test or whatever. so don't retake.
u'll be fine.. ur GPA makes up for the low QR. trust!

**also, the interviews are held thru out the year with some schools interviewing early (i.e. UOP, UCSF,) and others very late (UCLA) ... it's also split into two cycles, pre-dec 1 interview, and post dec 1 interviews... u have a better chance of acceptance if u interview pre december 1, which is why u wanna finish everything ASAP..

OP is stressing not because they won't get any interviews/acceptances, but because they are below the cutoff for one particular school. OP, the best advice I can give you is to never put all your eggs in one basket...

Just apply... and take the DAT in august if you don't get interviews by then. You should still ahve a shot at itnerviews. My stuff was sent end of september and i got interviews.... bc the rest of yoru app isgreat.

and QR is not that important.....(compared ot the rest)
