Hi All!

I know you have seen plenty of these, but I figured it wouldn't hurt me if I ask other people about my own chances.

Here are my DAT Scores:
AA - 22, TS- 22, PA- 18, OC - 25, GC - 22, Bio- 22, QR- 19, RC- 21

I understand my DAT scores are decent and they are what I am mostly relying on for admissions.
A quick breakdown of my scores:
I used Chad's Videos for almost all of their videos. I watched and took notes of my own and of course did the quizzes. These helped immensely.
I also use DAT Destroyer and that seemed to help me with my Orgo and Chem.
I did this for roughly 6 hours a day for 3 weeks.
Other than that, I look over other things online.

Now my GPA has gotten me a little worried. I have calculated them based off the AADSAS GPA calculator.
My oGPA is 3.66, BCP GPA is 3.57, sGPA is 3.61.
Now this isn't the problem. I took CC for my A.S. which is why these are decent.
(However I did get a C+ on Calc 2 at CC)
The problem is that my 4 year institution's separate statistics are:
oGPA- 3.52, sGPA - 3.42, BCP GPA - 3.13

On AADSAS they said that they sent the separate college statistics as well as all the other statistics for the GPA and I am worried about my BCP GPA from my 4 year institution will harm my application.

The schools that I am applying to are:

UMDNJ
NYU ( Hoping to get the 20k per year scholarship)
UPenn
Temple
SUNY Stony Brook
U Maryland

I know scholarships are very rare, but I am hoping the DAT scores would be able to get me the scholarship to NYU. Obviously, my choice of schools are based on cost.
I am Asian, so I'm an ORM, however I plan to check the disadvantaged status since my family's financial situation has never been the best. Thank you for your input and sorry for the long read =P

your GPA isn't terrible. I think you can get in somewhere. I would probably apply to more schools. Are you a New York resident(sorry if I didn't see your state residency). UPenn is a bit of a stretch, but I assume this is your "aim high"/"see if I get in" school.

I would apply to more schools if possible. Congrats on the DAT

Oh, I'm actually a NJ resident. Just wanted a school a little closer to home.

You got a 22 TS after only 3 weeks at 6hrs / day :O? That's awesome! What did you do for bio? I've gone through chad's gen chem videos now, and will hopefully finish orgo next week. Were the DAT portions similar to his quizzes? Sorry to go off topic, but I'm now getting very worried about my DAT :scared:.

But looking at your school list, stony brook seems a bit out of reach, especially considering how they are very OOS-unfriendly. Other than that, you probably have a decent shot at the other schools!

I felt they were pretty similar. For a biology I am a biological sciences major, so I had background and I also read over a Cliffnotes review book for biology. I probably got lucky on my answers haha. DAT destroyer helped a lot though. The questions on there were harder, but I felt that they really prepared me.

I know Stony Brook is OOS - unfriendly, however their tuition is very affordable. I did not realize that my GPA would drop so much lower than what my GPA said on my transcripts with the AADSAS scale haha.

Not sure how CC will affect this situation, but otherwise I think you have great chances depending on your personal statement and recommendations. Good luck.

Thank you! I was worried because the separate GPA from my 4 year institution is low, but hopefully they wouldn't care too much about that and just look at the overall.
