Just took the DAT and here are my scores:
Academic Avg: 22 (96.1%)
Perceptual Ability: 18 (66.8%)
Quantitative Reasoning: 22 (93.8%)
Reading Comprehension: 20 (65.6%)
Biology: 25 (99.9%)
General Chemistry: 22 (92%)
Organic Chemistry: 23 (93.9%)
Total Science: 23 (98.6%)
I included my percentile because I wanted to know if other people that got similar scores had similar percentiles. I was suprised at how low of a precentile my reading comp. score was.
The natural sciences were a little easier than I expected. I was getting about 20 on topscore.
The perceptual ability was a lot like topscore except the shapes were a lot smaller than so it was hard to see the differences between them. On topscore I was getting 22 on the PAT and was a little bit suprised at my score since I thought it was going well during the exam.
For the reading I think topscore is really misleading. On topscore every question is directly answered in the passage. On my DAT this wasn't the case. A lot of questions were conceptual and couldn't be answered without reading the whole passage. This caught me off gaurd and the method I was using on topscore didn't work out too well on the real DAT.
Quantitive Reasoning was a lot like topscore. Time was the biggest factor here.
For those of you who still have to take the DAT my tips would be to not spend too much time on any one question in any of the sections. If I couldn't get anywhere with a problem in the first 30 seconds I picked an answer, marked it and went on. For the reading I would practice with things other than topscore. For the natural sciences know the stuff in the kaplan book for bio and work a lot of problems for chemistry and orgo.
good luck to all those that have a DAT coming up!
