1. Can you put oral or poster presentation as "publication"?
2. Can you put possible future publication (abstract should be submitted within months) under "publication"

If answer to any of the above is a no then should I at least mention about poster/oral presenation or possible near future publication in the "research experience" section?

I'm no expert on this myself, so I'm hoping someone else will put down their thoughts. In the meantime, here's my best answer:

Under the publication tab, you can select oral presentation or poster presentation.

If you haven't even submitted the paper yet, I don't think you should put anything under the publication tab for that.

If you're in the process of writing the manuscript, I guess you could put that in the description of the experience. Otherwise, I think I would just describe the experience up to this point. If you've submitted the manuscript by the time, you go on interviews, you can mention it then.
 
Totally agree. I could write something tonight, in crayon, and submit it to the NEJM. That does not qualify me to put it on my CV. Anything that is in progress should simply be described in your application under the research experience.
