In undergrad I took SOME science and did fine in them but my overall GPA just made a 2.9/3.0. (I was not pre-med) I am now working in medical research and planning on taking the sciences I need at a community college. Will the classes I take after I graduated not count towards my overall GPA? Or will the science classes just count as my separate science GPA?I guess I am asking this because I dont plan on doing a post bac program but taking the classes on my own while I work. Lastly, does taking classes at a community college as opposed to a more "prestigious" school hinder your chances???? thanks!

Those grades will be factored into your overall/science GPA. As far as the community college aspect, a few schools will look down on them but the majority will not. Having said that, you need to do fairly well in those classes to demonstrate your potential (whatever that is they're looking for).
