Guys,

Why the hell are some of you asking "is it normal to only have 4 interview invites so far?" Jesus Christ. Do you need someone to taut your ego that bad?

Anyways. On to real my post.

I'm actually worried about only having ONE interview invite this far. I haven't received any rejections yet though, do dental schools send rejections on specific days? Do some not send rejections?

Don't worry about others, focus on your own game. If not, you will learn this the hard way in dental school. The kids who do the best in d-school are focussed on themselves.

Onto your question, some schools will send rejections quickly(like NOVA) but most other schools will wait till December 1st.
Just remember that schools can send invites well into spring.
Hold on, it's a long and sweet ride, bud.

People need more interviews to compensate for their insecurities about getting into dental school. There is no such thing as too many interviews until you get accepted into a dental school 😛

I think the people who are worried about getting only 3 interviews are doing so because they have high stats (or they think so) and applied to more than 10 schools so they are kind of surprised that all of those stats and money can only yield 3 interviews instead of 5 or 6.

Faefly nailed it. Getting more than 3-4 interviews is not exactly normal with decent stats. Obviously it happens but not everyone should expect 6-8 interviews if your stats are not stellar. Some people just get a little lucky too, maybe they applied at the right time or to the perfect schools for their individual case and got tons of interviews...either way you only get to go to one school.

When december comes around the luckiest person isnt the one who interviewed at 10 schools and goes to one, the luckiest person is the one who interviewed at one school and got in to that one school because they saved time and thousands of dollars worth of travel expenses.

I think lucky over "smart". I mean, it isn't exactly safe to put all of your eggs into one basket (school).
