Just wondered how people are handling the female heart/lung exams. I'm know we aren't supposed to listen through gowns, so are people asking the women to lower their gowns? Seems like it would be kind of hard to drape for this. Thanks.

I would actually untie the gown and just let one side down at a time (I had them sitting up for the breast and lung exam). That way they would not be completely disrobed. I would place the stethoscope under the left breast to listen to the apex and place my hand there to "check the PMI".

Dropping the corner of the gown is plenty to listen to the heart. You dont need to expose anything more than the area you will be listening to. None of the models seemed bothered by that.
