I have a letter of recommendation from a retired MD, PhD who was/is my anatomy and physiology professor. I am having a hard time figuring out how it should be considered.

Does this qualify as an MD letter, a science professor letter, or both?

Thanks.

You know this person as a professor, and not in the context of their medical practice (correct?). This is a science professor letter.

It is a science LOR because you were enrolled as a student in an anatomy/physiology course taught by the MD/PhD professor (see AMCAS Guide below, Biology).
