Hey I'm a first year and I started research with the chair of plastics at my home school in March of this year and plan ton continue during summer. I was wondering, how long most people did research while in medical school at one lab. Do they continue during their 2nd, 3rd, etc....? I feel as though I will publish before the end of summer yet my PI seems to think that I will be with them longer than the summer. I don't mind staying in the lab, since I did labwork during my undergrad, but was just wondering how necessary it was.
Also, on a side note, I was wondering how important 1st/2nd year grades were (I know this has been asked alot) for plastics?
