I still can't figure out after reading the ans key

cos x / (1+sin x) + (1+sin x)/cos x

ans is 2/cosx

pretty please... type out each steps.

Find the common denominator : (1+sinX)(cosX)

This will give you (cosX)(cosX)+(1+sinX)(1+sinX)/(1+sinX)(cosX)

now we have (cos2X)+1+2sinX+sin2X/(1+sinX)(cosX)

(cos2X) means squared not 2X didnt know
how to type it and for sin2X

use the identity for cos squared x + sin squared x, this gives you 1 so you have

1+1 +2sinX = 2+2sinX/(1+sinX)(cosX)

factor out 2 on the top and you get 2(1+sinX)/(1+sinX)(cosX)

cancel out 1+sinX you get 2/cosx

I hope this looks right when I send it, sorry if it is confusing
