I searched for this specific question, but could not find it anywhere! For refererneces sake, I am taking about UNT when I talk about this college.
Alright, I am looking into majoring in Kinesiology at UNT, because there are many applicable interesting clasees (biomechanics, anatomy, micro-biology, physiology of sports movement, motor movement, and scuba diving😉) and there are many different tracks that you can choose from?
Education ~ for education/coaching purporses
Health/Fitness ~ really stresses health/body (nutrition, sports, biomechanics)
General ~ that is very vague and allows many Kine electives but only 18 free elective hours, making pre-reqs very difficult
Allied Health Pre-Professional ~ this one is tricky, I don't understand its purprose but it has all of dental pre-reqs built in except Bio-chem, but has some elective courses, and not very "technical" except medical terminology, advanced athletic training, modalities?.
My question is about the Allied Health Pre-Professional track. That is my choice I'm considering right now when I realize the room for upper division biology courses and all the pre-reqs. For some reason I have read some negative feed back on "allied health" things, but being pre-professional and still including pre-reqs and upper division biology, is it an ok choices?
Sorry for the lengthy post!
