Hey guys! I plan on applying for the 2018-2019 cycle and I'm curious about my chances as a nontraditional-also advice to beef it up so I have a chance at MD and/or DO. Also any help with schools to look at!
General Stats: White, Female - 24 (25 at application time)- Degree completed in TX, currently a resident of MN (but possibly moving to IL in April).
Degree: BM Music - Opera Performance, post bac classes (not through program).
GPA: 3.94, sGPA 3.87
MCAT: real thing is scheduled in early May, FL practice tests 509, 510, 515 (upward trending!)
ECS:
Shadowing (various Specialties): 50 hours
Clinical Volunteering: 300 hours (Delirium/mental health floor, Eye clinic for disadvantaged children, Rehab/PT clinic)
Non-Clinical Volunteering: 500 hours (Language Counselor Assist, Teaching yoga at a women's clinic)
Other: TA Anatomy Cadaver Lab (1 year)
Research: 0 yikes...but applying to two programs for this summer...hopefully this works out and I can at least list it as something I'm starting.

Scribing at an ER: 1,300+ hours
