Ok! So I need some honest opinions out there!

Like many people I've been trying to figure out which schools to apply to and which are a waste of time because of stats or residency requirements. Here's my current list

- Houston :xf:
- Dallas :xf:
- San Antonio
- Tufts
- Oklahoma
- Harvard 😱
- Columbia
- Tufts
- UCSF

GPA : 4.0
TS: 24
AA: 24
PAT: 20

Which schools should I add/remove?

Thanks so much!

Wow, we almost have the exact same stats. And there's no need to add/remove any schools.

😱

Awesome stats!!

I would consider UCLA as well.

I'd throw in Penn (the best Ivy 😉 )

You should have a good shot at getting interviews a lot of these places (maybe all...). Its always worth a shot to apply and see if places offer you any scholarships, as you will get multiple acceptances as long as you interview well, and cost of school should be a top factor in your decision. Penn offers 25 half tuition scholarships so that's worth a shot, otherwise most people agree its too expensive (400-500K with living costs).

Congrats and good luck.

Wait what?! I didn't know D schools even offered significant scholarships! Which schools offer good ones? Do any offer full tuition? (I'm probably dreaming there. haha)

Good llist. I would throw Penn on there are well. Best of luck.👍

You're going to get a scholarship to at least one Texas school. Go there, no need to add anymore places 👍

Geeze! Just looked up prices for AADSAS apps and they are INSANE! I paid only $95 for ALL 3 of my Tx apps I already sent off! If I apply to 5 schools through AADSAS, I'm going end up spending over $600 just in apps! 😱😱:scared:

... I just don't want to put all my eggs in one basket and ONLY apply to Texas schools!

And I hear that Tx schools usually only like a one time $3k scholarship or something too, so idk about that. :O

UPDATE!

So I just looked up the cost to apply OOS and holy SH!$# !!!

My three Tx apps only cost a total $95 (already submitting beginning of June) !

If I applied to the 4-5 schools thru AADSAS, I'd be spending another $500+ not to mention supplemental fees!

Is it worth it? Or should I stick with just Tx apps ? I don't know if I should take the risk and just apply in state or bite the bullet and spend that huge chunk of change! HELP

NYU might be a good backup.

Stick with Texas. This is what I've been telling you. Unless you just BOMB something at the interviews, you WILL get into one Texas school with those scores and app. Don't waste your money on backup OOS schools because you won't need it and will never choose it if you have a Texas school acceptance.

Another price factor you forget is the plane ticket, car, and hotel to go to OOS interviews. Its not worth it for someone like you. TRUST ME ON THIS.

And I would look into the Texas school scholarships info a bit more. I don't think that sounds right. A few of my friends got them and I could've remembered they were better then that.
