So I've heard many people have been asked this in their interviews "How do you explain this "C" in (any class)," what is a good answer to this question? What can you possibly say?

Here are a few of my favorites:

"Well I got drunk for the final and never really made it to class. Damn, 8 A.M. I mean would you climb through the snow that early in the morning to fall asleep in a physics lecture?"

"C....HA... I thought I got a D in there...that's awesome.."

I think honesty is probably the best thing. Everyone knows that things happen when you're in school, and not every semester is going to be perfect. They will understand if you have an honest explanation. Good luck!

Say that you underestimated the work load in the class and didn't do as well as you would have liked on exams. If you earned better grades after that class then point out how you improved.
