Hey, I need answers to this question: Why pharmacy?
Please respond only if you were asked this question and got accepted by that school.
Name the school that interviewed you asking this question, and your response.

Did you ever mention: money, helping others, or serving your community?
(kind of vague)

This is a basic question you should have asked yourself when you decided on the field of pharmacy as a career. If you honestly don't know why you want to go into pharmacy you may want to explore other career options. Every interview I went on asked me this question. The answer needs to be unique to you and it will be very apparent to those interviewing you if you gathered a collection of why others have decided on this career path.

You need to come up with your own answers. Everyone has different reasons for why they entered pharmacy. If you can not answer this question on your own, look into a different profession because it's obviously not for you.

I don't understand why there are so many people asking "Why Pharmacy" on SDN. You should really do some research on your own and figure out why you would want a career in pharmacy. No one is going to give you their answers here, especially that you are asking for something so specific... "Please respond only if you were asked this question and got accepted by that school.
Name the school that interviewed you asking this question, and your response." So are you planning on repeating those answers if asked by those schools at the interview?

Are you also going to ask us, "for those who got accepted to pharmacy school, please indicate the school and the questions asked at the interview, and tell me your answers"?

I agree with the others that posted. If you dont know of an answer to that question then you need to rethink what you are doing. I personally think that is an easy question, and had a lot to say at my interviews. Why did u choose pharmacy in the first place, what makes you get through your undergrad years?

Can't and will not answer this question since you should know this already.
