Hi anyone know how to dose abx based on mic? Treating esbl ecoli w cefepime but cefepime is susceptible dose dependent mic =4. Giving 1g q24. But I don't know how to calculate if that's good enough dosing... How do I figure this out?

Ask your pharmacist. That's what they're for.

This's one area of medicine that I refuse to learn. If i see something weird on the susceptibilities, I don't try to look it up ... I pick up the phone

I don't know about the rest of you busy I just give amikacin until renal failure or ringing ears. That's the little dab that'll do ya!
