Since this thread exist for "low" MCAT Scores, how about giving us slackers on the cusp of the 10th percentile of accepted GPAs some hope! Tell your story and post your MCAT 🙂

I am sure there a lot of 3.5gpa 35+ MCAT success stories.

I have a 3.5ish and an MCAT between 35-39.

I've gotten 5 interview invites... A friend with a 3.3 and a 31 has had 3 invites.

It's DEFINITELY possible. Upward trends, and great life experiences do matter.

I have a 3.38 GPA and 36 MCAT, with GPA in a downward trend (was 3.6 freshman year but steadily dropped) and have 2 invites so far. It helps to have good ECs and good MCAT even if your GPA is low

I have a GPA <3.5 and a 39 MCAT and have 6 MD interviews so far. All but one school are in the top 25.

There is definitely hope!!!

Sadly it's mostly people with 35+ MCAT. Methinks I should've done a retake...

cGPA 2.8, sGPA 3.09; MCAT: 34O

3 invites so far (2-allo, 1-osteo)

So yes it is possible, anything is. As everyone has said it is the rest of the application that matters.

3.47 32Q 6 allo Invites
No URM

Look at my mdapps. 3.5gpa downward trend/32Q

Not a 33+ mcat. 3 MD invites 2 DO invites.

LET'S DO THIS!

Couple of interview invites here with a 3.45/34S

I had ~3.0 undergrad at an excellent school. After several years out of school, I decided to pursue medicine, got 4.0 in a postbac, bringing my average up to just over 3.2. I got a 42 on the MCAT. I was invited to interviews at 3 to 4 top ten schools and one other school, ultimately being accepted to one of the top 10 schools and placed on two waitlists.

It's always kind of a crap shoot. If your GPA is mediocre, you wanna have a lot of other things going for you.
