I applied to PT school this year and didn't get in. My overall GPA is 3.08 and pre-req is 2.82, but my grades from this semester should bring it up a little. My total GRE was 305, and 4.0 on writing. I'm doing a 12 week internship at a PT clinic this summer, and am going to spend this coming school year re-taking a few classes and taking a few 300/400 level classes in the area of health science. I'm also going to try to do some more volunteer hours when I can. Does anyone have any other suggestion of things that would improve my application? Any suggestions of which schools I should apply? I went through the entire list of accredited school to see which had the lowest GPA requirements, but was just wondering if anyone had stats as low as mine and got in and where.

Do anything to raise those two numbers.

numbers.....that's it. cut out distractions. your plan is fine.

Pre-reqs must be higher than 3.0. That's not an option; there are too many applicants. Perhaps a GRE review course/writing tutor can help in order to raise those scores? I know of a number of people who didn't get accepted their first time around, worked like crazy to up their stats, and then got accepted. Stay focused and do everything within your power to minimize distractions and give it a shot next year. Good luck.

Honestly those GPA's need to go up like 25%

Like most people said, your GPA needs to go up to be looked at.
