Just wondering if any fellow pre-meds are interested in fishing? Would the hobby possibly affect where you choose (or hope, in my case) to go to school. I know I applied to Arkansas because the fishing down there is awesome, but didn't get in🙁

Also, did you/would you mention it as an interest on apps? I mentioned how I love to fish and work on my boat (old 1970s bass boat) in a few apps. In fact, it lead to some pretty interesting conversation in one interview.

I am just bringing this up because it is starting to warm up around here and I am going home to take the old boat out this weekend.

Bass fishing is where it's at! I'm not really a hardcore fisherman or anything, but me, my dad, and my grandfather used to fish out of our 17 foot Old Town canoe. Some of the best times of my life right there. I would definitely mention it on my apps.

I dont think it will make that much of difference but could be an interesting and different EC to see on an app.

I mentioned how I like to work out and play sports.

Love fishing, although I do it in the Chesapeake Bay for Rockfish (striped bass), blues and the occasional mackeral.

I am definately a big fisherman. I interviewed at LECOM Erie and mentioned it to the interviewer...We talked about the walleye fishing on Lake Erie for like 20 mins...was awesome.

Fishing lover here. It hasn't influenced my career choices so far and probably won't in the future, though. I can always hit up a nice spot on vacation.
