Adcadet,

There is a NYT link generator just for bloggers. It allows you to link to articles (such as the Antitrust Lawsuit article) in a way that allows others to access them without having to sign in. It also works around the NYT archive issue, where articles are inaccessible after seven days without paying.

Its NYT-permitted for bloggers, otherwise they couldn't blog NYT articles. I haven't found actual terms of use for the generator, though. (Hopefully NYT will open its archives someday. I wonder if the fees for accessing old articles makes them much money, anyway.)

Be warned that it doesn't work for all articles, and that there is sometimes a delay between when an article is on the NYT Web site and when the link generator will function for that article. A day later and the generator may generate a link.

The link in my initial post in this thread uses this very technique. It will (should) work months from now. The one on your UMN Web site probably won't work by Monday already. Not a criticism, just a tip.
