Hi guys,
I'm in my second year now, recently stopped studying the MCAT and aiming for med school for a variety of reasons and am now fairly (?) firmly set on dentistry. The problem I face is mainly this: I have very little experience on what preparing for dental school admissions are like in canada, ie what extracurriculars/gpa is required. I've been preparing for med school since high school but with my change of heart I'm probably way behind. I personally have very little clinical experience, but a decent gpa (3.9x) and a load of extracurriculars in rather unrelated subjects (like production manager of a student magazine, a tutor, web designer, and stuff like that).
Suffice to say I haven't been preparing for the DAT at all, and if I do it it'll probably be in november or february in canada (someone correct me if I'm wrong here), I think this is enough time as I'm planning to do it next year. If anyone with experience in the canadian dental system and wants to chime in about some resources they used to get some more information on what predental is like in canada that would be fantastic!
