Hey guys, I'm thinking of applying to medical school this summer, but I'm not sure if I should wait until next year to apply as my EC's are very weak. My stats are below.

Finance major
PA resident
science GPA: 3.80
cumulative GPA: 3.86
MCAT: 31

EC's:
15 hours clinical volunteering at local hospital
50 hours of total shadowing (I shadowed two doctors)
I hold an officer position for two of my university clubs/organizations(chess club, Chinese club)

I am not picky about getting into any particular school, but I would prefer an MD school. I would appreciate any advice on whether or not I have a shot for applying this year. Thanks.

Nope, apply next when your packet would be competitive.
