Any changes to the QR recently that I should be aware of for my exam next week?

Hi all!

Quick question. Ive seen like one or two breakdowns with people mentioning "basic statistics". Is this new material, or the "new" stuff the ADA was planning to implement?

Like is this gonna go farther than mean, median, mode, standard dev?

Or is it gonna be like p, alpha, null hypothesis, etc....(hope not! Havent seen stats for a while)

Thanks in advance!!

Where can I go to review this? I haventt had stats in forever and forgot everything besides mean, mode and median 🙁

Honestly, I'm sure the 2015 KBB QR is enough for the new statistics stuff... Then again, I didn't take the 2015 DAT yet, but from what I've been researching, it should cover enough.

Some people had stats on their test this year some didnt. Maybe they are still in the process of testing it. Ms. Nancy from DAT Destroyer said that they have been "working" on the QR since like 2010 lol

Know the standard normal distribution bell curve and understand the curve. I had two probability questions.

Google it. I don't think you need to know how to calculate standard dev (it's a pretty big formula), just know what it is. As for the 68-95-97.8 thing, it goes along with standard deviation. 1 standard deviation will be 68% of a bell curve, 2 will be 95%, 3 will be 97.8%

This was on my DAT and I was thankful I just happened to remember it from stats class

As of today this is what I have concluded,

As of now it's only mean, mode, median, standard deviation, and percentages under the bell curve.

No Null Hypothesis testing.

Like hellofuturedentists mentioned google should be sufficient. In my case all I had was a general working knowledge on those. If you're able to understand what happens to each variable as the data set is manipulated you should be fine

Do you guys know if those questions dealing with intercepted arcs come up like "two tangents, two secants, 1 tan, 1 sec"?
