Hello,

I was hoping to get some feedback from current UK and CU DPT students on their respective programs. CU students: I really love the program, but would you say it is worth the cost? UK students: what would you say is the strong-point of your program? Also anything else you would like to include would help.

- Thanks

I'm a first year at UK. Honestly I think our faculty are the best part of our program. They are very diverse and cover the full range of interests/specialties. They are also very kind and approachable, and will really go to bat for you, especially if you make the time to get to know them. They schedule student-faculty meetings several times per semester and trust me, these have turned into "b!tch sessions," but they really do go above and beyond to make the experience good for you. They also have a great first time NPTE pass rate (I think 96ish%) but a 100% overall pass rate.

I honestly really like the curriculum design, too. They take care to make sure that timing of content across classes overlaps (for instance, we just had a test on the upper extremity in gross anatomy, and in functional anatomy next week we start the shoulder girdle) and they ease you into the program instead of slapping you in the face with all the hard stuff at once.

Facilities are pretty awesome, we are in a newer building connected with the UK Medical Center and Clinic. In-state tuition is really affordable, and I hear out-of-state is one of the more affordable options too. If you want to PM me with questions feel free! I love my program, and I think my classmates will echo my sentiment. =)
